Install Flow Recorder in Chrome

Takes about two minutes. Works in Chrome, Edge and Brave.
⬇ Download the extension (.zip)
  1. Unzip the file. You get a folder called flow-recorder. Keep it somewhere permanent (Documents is good). Chrome loads the extension from this folder, so do not delete it later.
  2. In Chrome, open a new tab and go to chrome://extensions
  3. Turn on Developer mode (switch at the top right)
  4. Click Load unpacked and choose the flow-recorder folder (the folder itself, not a file inside it)
  5. Click the puzzle-piece icon next to the address bar and pin Flow Recorder

Connect it to the team hub

  1. Click the Flow Recorder icon, open Options
  2. Team hub address:
  3. Paste the access key you were given. Options says “Connected as …” when it works
From then on every recording you stop appears here for the team automatically.

Record something

  1. Open the site and sign in first (passwords are never recorded)
  2. Click the icon, name the workflow, press ● Start recording
  3. Do the task as you normally would, then press ■ Stop & save
  4. The review page opens. Read the steps, tick changes every run on anything that varies, remove any mistakes

Updating later

Download the zip again, unzip it over the same folder, then on chrome://extensions press the refresh arrow on the Flow Recorder card.
